Building Video Apps with Nokia Web Runtime and Flash Lite

In this webinar, Robert Burdick of Forum Nokia and Kirk Ballou of Flash Widgets LLC will show you how to build great video and multimedia applications on Nokia smartphones by using Nokia Web Runtime and Adobe Flash Lite technologies.

First, you’ll get an overview of device video-format and codec support, so you’ll quickly see which devices to target with your applications. Next, you’ll learn the basics of doing Flash Lite video playback via streaming or progressive download.

Then you’ll see how easy it is to combine your web programming skills with Flash Lite multimedia capabilities to create rich mobile-internet applications.

You’ll also get some great examples of polished, commercial applications that bring the mobile experience to life with video.

It currently targets Flash Lite 3.x for Nokia S60 devices, and the tool runs under both Windows and Mac because it’s an AIR app. Mark has all the details on his blog.
