According to this blog post (which may or may not be entirely correct), 1st generation Android based devices may not be getting Flash 10.1.

Yet another announcement coming out of last week’s Adobe MAX: Adobe and Qualcomm Bring Full Flash Player to Next-Generation Mobile Devices.
According to the article, Qualcomm (a longtime Open Screen partner) is working with Adobe to optimize and increase performance for Flash Player 10.1 for Qualcomm’s chipsets targeted at smartphones and smartbooks.

Qualcomm recently launched a brand new BREW Mobile Platform Developer Network.
Of course, Flash is one of the platforms supported by the BREW “MP” (Mobile Platform).
For Flash (Mobile) Developers … this is essentially their version of “devnet” for the mobile community.

According to Bill, Shantanu (Adobe, CEO) reported 800 million at his CTIA keynote in San Francisco this week (Sept 2008).
Yes, that’s 800,000,000, or more than 1/2 billion devices that have shipped to date. I imagine, look for a press release (perhaps) soon.
Earlier this year, Adobe had stated they were estimated to make 1 billion devices [...]

According to some updated data from Bill, there are now 19 mobile devices on the Verizon network which are BREW enabled and support Flash Lite (2.1) content.
So, 6 additional devices have been certified and extensions are now available).
