There’s a free article over on communitymx.com entitled “Mobile Internet Devices: An Introduction”.
In it the author talks about his experience with mobile devices over the years, and his perceptions and generalizations on Mobile Web.
It is a short and interesting read; though the author tends to concentrate on “what was” and “what might be”, rather [...]

Although I haven’t bought anything recently from iRiver, they remain one of my top all time favorite Portable Media Player manufacturers.
Looks like they have a new device out, called the iRiver P.ple P10! View their Promo Video.
It appears to be a tablet based media player with a lot multimedia capabilities and hardware design we’ve [...]

I picked up a Nokia E90 recently which I have just begun using as one my primary mobile business communication devices.
In terms of Nokia devices, it compliments my N810 tablet and N95 (my primary personal phone & development device).
So far, I love the device .. even given it’s larger profile compared to the N95.
It [...]

Ted Patrick had a recent post about a new virtual machine within the Mozilla Tamarin project (essentially a new branch of the project). For those unfamiliar with Tamarin, a summary is provided here.
From what I can make of this news, Adobe has a new build of a VM called “Tamarin Tracing”.
From what I could [...]

I “can-z be-z jealous”! There’s a Nokia N810 unboxing ceremony and accompanying review over at arstechnica.com.
If you didn’t know, the N810 is what Nokia is calling an “internet tablet” (logically, it’s the “successor” to the N800, which didn’t receive much fan fare IMHO).
It’s got a Flash 9 player (browser based implementation I do believe), [...]

I caught this after a bit of quick R&D on maemo. Basically, it turns your Nokia Tablet into an OBD-II analyzer (not sure if OBD-II is a globally accepted standard or not).
I actually had an OBD-II device (scan guage) a while back that I picked up from thinkgeek. I used it for reporting, much more [...]

An email about a Maemo meeting at MIT caught my attention a couple days ago … just now posting about it.
What is maemo? maemo is a Linux based platform for Nokia based Tablets (such as a N800) and other devices.
They are having some training on Thursday, 8th November, 2007 from 10:00-17:00 (EST).
Here is [...]
