I picked up a Nokia E90 recently which I have just begun using as one my primary mobile business communication devices.
In terms of Nokia devices, it compliments my N810 tablet and N95 (my primary personal phone & development device).
So far, I love the device .. even given it’s larger profile compared to the N95.
It [...]

This advert where “Bilgehan” (over at Kuneri Lite) utilizes his unique talent of handrawing an N95 using Microsoft Paint and a mouse … is simple awesome-ness.
IMHO, it puts the iPhone “baby music” commercial to a bit of shame (even though it’s not an N95 commercial per se …)!
Awesome job guys!
Spread the word and dig it.

The Nokia N95 firmware udpate (v 21.0.016) is now available (might not be all regions) (via allaboutsymbian and Alessandro).
This includes embedded Flash Lite 3 and WRT, among other enhancements, fixes, etc:
What’s new for v21.0.016 (over and above v20 firmware):
Flash Lite 3 is included, so Flash video sites will work, including YouTube (just as [...]

On Friday, my Nokia N95 took a tumble and went into a whitescreen mode in which I thought was going to be unrecoverable.
Reason being … in the past, on other Nokia devices … I typically gotten past the Nokia splash and handshake animation for other whitescreens in order to recover. Not so, this time … [...]

Faisal posted about a tip (many of us, like to use) when dealing with 1.1 content (replacing tellTargets() in favor of 1-line gotoAndPlay() statements with frame label jumps).
So:
[AS]
tellTarget( “person_mc” ) {
gotoAndPlay( “moveHead” ); //– assuming there is a frame labeled ‘moveHead’ on the timeline
}
[/AS]
… can simply be:
[AS]
gotoAndPlay( “person_mc:moveHead” [...]

I just read from Mark Doherty’s blog that Device Profile #5 is now available for download.
In addition to many new Flash Lite 2.x devices, this new update has some of the first profiles for Flash Lite 3 devices shipping world-wide; including the Nokia N95 NAM, and some supported Japanese Keitai.
In addition; as always … [...]

There is a newly constructed Mobile World Congress 2008 channel on qik.com.
Even though the video shot is likely not be shot by necessarily “professionals” … this is a neat way to be on ground and live vicariously through attendees and see what folks are checking out at this year’s show.
Bill Perry (Adobe MaD) is doing [...]
