Bill updated the Flash Mobile devices spreadsheet, and the total supported devices count across various handset OEMS are (according to Bill):
  • Nokia (Global) = 94 devices
  • Sony Ericsson (Global) = 75 devices
  • Verizon Wireless (US) = 19 devices
  • NTT DoCoMo (Japan) = 150 devices
  • KDDI (Japan) = 111 devices

The Adobe Mobile and Devices team released Adobe Device Central Profile #7, which, according to Mark, brings the total number of Flash addressable mobile devices to somewhere around 525.
In regards to #7; in total there are 261 profiles included, 57 new devices and updates to 204 existing profiles [...]

Flash Enabled Handset spreadsheet had been updated

Bill updated his ongoing Flash Enabled Handset spreadsheet (PDF).
Current #’s of Flash enabled handsets as of June 25, 2008 are:
85 Nokia
71 Sony Ericsson
13 Verizon
149 NTT DoCoMo
110 KDDI
and 60 Softbank handsets.
All the info is in the PDF.

Device Profile Update #6 released for Adobe Device Central

Device Profile #6 for Adobe Device Central has been released and includes 63 new device profiles as well as updates and enhancements to some 110 existing profiles.
If you are working with Flash Lite, you should think about updating.
This update also contains some Flash Lite 3.0 supported devices.

Adobe and CELL Announce Adobe Device Central Premium Service in Japan

Anyways, the news is that Adobe and CELL have announced Adobe Device Central Premium Service in Japan for the Flash Lite/mobile developers there.

Seems to be some kind of transcoding service … but someone will have to verify.

Chipuya Town: a Japanese Flash based MMORPG on keitai

In Japan, there’s a new mobile service called Chipuya Town.
It’s a virtual world accessible on Flash enabled keitai. Users can create avatars in a virtual 2-D world that represents Tokyo’s Shibuya shopping district.

I don’t have my translator accessible right now, so I’m just going by google.
Tech-mobi seems to be focused on Flash Lite technology, trends & business.
