Saturday, June 9th, 2007

The iRiver B20 Personal Media Player is out in Korea. It was announced a while back at CES.

This device is essentially a Clix 2 with more functionality and sleeker design (than the u10, that is). The specs are laid out here. Lots of device photos here.
In additional to other features, iRiver has once again [...]

There’s an iRiver Clix “Holiday Special” going on for the iRiver Clix 2 GB model. $139 USD after you use this coupon.
Yes, the 4 GB model is out (at around $199 USD MRSP), but this might be a cheaper solution for those looking to create Flash Lite 2 content (especially games).

Friday, October 20th, 2006

Via Lars-Eberhard Schmidt, the 4GB IRiver Clix will soon be available in various
regions.
Yes, it is running Flash Lite 2, as is it’s 2GB predecessor (although they *could* have updated the device hardware and/or firmware … including the Flash Lite 2 Player capabilities). Have to wait and see.
Oh, and also a small aesthetic change. [...]

Update your iriver u10 PMP from MTP to UMS

Monday, August 21st, 2006

I don’t think anyone has posted about this, but iriver has actually supplied a firmware update that also allows you to upgrade from MTP to UMS for the u10.
What does this mean?
With the UMS firmware, your u10 will act as an ordinary USB storage device. This means you can use the official iriverplus software [...]

iriver clix is running Flash Lite 2

Monday, May 22nd, 2006

I just received the clix today. I whipped up a quick $version test, and it’s coming back FL 7,1,51,0.
So, yes, looks like Flash Lite 2 (in some form or another) is preinstalled.
The UI lag everyone was complaining about on the u10 (FL 1.1) is pretty much non-existent with the clix. You can tell the [...]

iriver clix flash enabled PMP

Monday, May 15th, 2006

Seems they may be trying to more tightly integrate into (music/video) services … which they failed to do with the u10 … “Supports subscription music”.
CNET [...]
