Adobe Connect session on Android with Flash Player 10.1
July 10th, 2010 by scottjanousekHere’s a video about connect on android with FP 10.1.
Here’s a Adobe Acrobat streaming a e-seminar on a live connection with FP 10.1 on Android with Google N1
I have tried to do connect on Android a couple times, but haven’t had smooth experiences quite yet. 1st the controls are not catering to the mobile form factor (I hope Adobe Connect team is hard at work on this!), and secondly my previous attempts were with Android 2.1 and older Flash Player builds … which didn’t lead to a flawless connect session (perhaps it was network issues on my end, however).
In any event, I’m going to try under Android 2.2 and the most recent Flash Player 10.1 (beta) this week for some scheduled events and see how things have improved (or not).
With Apple publicizing Facetime to consumers …. and 4G coming to light (in certain spots in the US and around the world, that is), I’m sure that it’s only a matter of time before we take this for granted … that is, streaming live audio/and or video over the “mobile pipeline” to our devices … regardless of the underlaying technology used. I’m not talking about WiFi people, but I guess that’s a required stepping stone as well.
