Google Nexus One will support Flash Player 10.1 (browser support)
January 5th, 2010 by scottjanousekPrevious Android devices from HTC have had Flash Lite support, but the Google Nexus One (made by HTC) that was announced today is going to support Flash Player 10.1, in addition to its other specs.
Here’s a video of Adobe demoing a build of what they plan to push out in 2010 for the Nexus (update will be OTA over the web, when the bits are ready).
Some folks have posted some disparaging remarks about the Adobe Open Screen Project at the end of 2009, but here you can kind of get an idea of Adobe’s efforts with partners to support Flash, and what’s to come in 2010.

mmmm…. of all the eventually good and positive things that this guy could have pointed out about Flash running in the browser, he puts the emphasis on “see the Flash based banners on top and around the whole page, this is how National Geographic can monetize their content”.
I just can’t imagine anybody excited about Flash banners ads finally available in their mobile browser…..

Emanuele, I thought the same thing. Look on the bright side, at least no skip intros were shown. Well, not that I recall.
I would have shown hulu.com running Flash Video … my guess is that they are still tweaking. Not sure if the device has GPU acceleration, but if it does, perhaps performance would be good enough for them to show case that when they ship.
Flash Video inside devices will be a huge win for them if the hw has finally caught up … I reserve judgement when I bring the player down on the nexus and head to hulu.com.
