Is the Leapster 2 a Flash Enabled Device? Maybe …
Just saw recently, that the Leapster 2 came to market. The original Leapster had Flash based games, wonder if this one does as well.
Of course, this device platform has never been open publicly to developers … and I doubt it ever would, given that [...]

Happy New Year!
2009 is coming to a close, and I thought I’d take some time to reflect back on some highlights from 2009 in regards to my work (*specifically* in the Flash realm), as well as make some work related New Years resolutions for 2010.
2009 was a transition, work-wise for me, as I took on [...]

In case you missed the news … apparently, Adobe will not be releasing Adobe Flash CS5 to the broader, general community for public beta review. Instead, they will be focusing on getting Flash CS5 released as soon as possible, including the packager for iPhone.
This is somewhat of a downer, since Adobe did say they were [...]

UPDATE 12/30/2009 : Mark A Doherty has posted some comments on his blog.
Aral recently made a post entitled: “Why Adobe’s mobile strategy is fundamentally flawed”. I wanted to post about this, not because I necessarily agree with all of it, but rather to open it open for discussion to the broader Flash community, and [...]

In case you missed it, here’s ESPN’s Proof of Concept/Vision piece for interactive versions of its magazine, in a tablet format.
With the rumors going around about the Apple tablet (potentially dubbed the “iSlate”/”Magic Slate”) recently, this “Proof of Concept” actually isn’t all that fictitious at all!
P.S. I bet the designer begged for a version 2 [...]

Just an FYI, but I’ll giving a talk (subject to change a bit) entitled “Flash Evolution on Devices” at next years scheduled Flash and the City 2010 event which is held from May 14-16 in New York City.
Here’s a very quick overview of the session (which is likely to change some between now and May [...]

Here’s a very speculative post about “When is Flash 10 finally coming to mobile devices?. This is what happens when Adobe shows tasty Flash 10.x on devices, 2 years in a row at Adobe MAX (i.e. consumers are anxious when the final bits will, exactly, be “fully baked” and deployed).
I suppose this guy [...]
