Chumbys part of eBay celebrity auction for charity

There is an ebay auction today at 12:00 non PT (check time), where personalized chumbys from celebrities such as Hayden Panettiere (”Clarie” from Heroes), Kim Kardashian (not sure who she is, actually …) and the musical band, Blind Melon will give auctioned off.

Proceeds will go to celebrities charity of choice, including such entities are: The Whaleman Foundation and Dream Foundation.

In addition, chumby will be auctioning off some limited edition blue chumby’s, which include t-shirt and charms.

Hayden Panettiere, Kim Kardashian and other celebrities participate in eBay Giving Works charity auction

San Diego, CA - Oct. 24, 2008 - Now fans can own one-of-a-kind chumby media players personalized by their favorite stars. Hayden Panettiere and Kim Kardashian are among celebrities adding a personal touch to their chumby for a charity auction on eBay.

As part of the eBay Giving Works program, fans will be able to bid on customized celebrity chumby devices, starting today at 12:00 noon PT for 10 days through Monday, Nov. 3 at 12:00 noon PT. Proceeds will go to the celebrities’ charities of choice, including The Whaleman Foundation and Dream Foundation.

Other celebrities participating in the program include: Survivor and Surreal Life star Jerri Manthey, actress Meredith Salenger, Carlos Alazraqui of Reno 911, actress Isabel Lucas, as well as the bands Blind Melon and Duke Spirit.

Also available starting today at 12:30 pm PT are eBay-exclusive blue chumby bundles. Offered for the first time to the public, 30 blue chumby players will come with a large super-soft navy blue chumby tee and all 5 sets of chumby collectible charms.
