Speaker, Policarpo Guerrero: An entrepreneur with a vision on mobile as the new media to deliver engaging and interactive experiences to consumers.
In 2001 he founded MSCorp (Mobile Services Corporation). MSCorp is a leader in mobile innovation in Latin America, a Forum Nokia Pro member, with a strong track record of implementation on mobile video streaming, for-mobile productions and content distribution. The company maintains a solid distribution network with carriers, as well as a strong partnership with Nokia in the region.
In 2007 his organization launched Ideas Lite, a spin-off devoted to Flash Lite development and distribution. Ideas Lite has already proved itself as a major player in the Flash Lite ecosystem, by launching successful applications, such as City Lite, the Global winner of the Forum Nokia Code Camp Competition 2008 in the Flash category. Ideas Lite is also the first company to offer Flash Lite contents to end users in Latin America, via Nokia Download! and carriers’ on-deck portals.
Policarpo was born in Venezuela. After graduating in foreign languages, and until 1999, he had a long tenure in the former Soviet Union as an executive for international joint ventures in the photo business (Kodak-Roscorp-Rosinter), where he was instrumental in business development and operations. In the US, he worked for Nokia’s Latin American marketing agencies, which allowed him to get an advantage point of view about the new things to come in the mobile world. This was the turning point for the creation of what eventually would become the MSCorp group of companies. Currently he resides in Coral Springs, Florida.
