Flash Lite UI on the Verizon Wireless LG Chocolate 3 (VX8650)
August 1st, 2008 by Scott JanousekI finally got into the “guts” of the LG Chocolate 3 (VX8650) and was able to browse around some of the file structure.
I found that like many handsets now shipping from LG, the LG Chocolate 3 (VX8650) is also using Flash Lite for the user interface (see below), which is pretty cool.

Again, not a really shocker, since Flash Lite provides one of the easiest and quickest ways to create mobile user interfaces across devices. What’s more, it allows companies to reuse those interfaces between a range of devices! Nice perk, if you are an OEM.
If you are interested in seeing the device in action, check out youtube, or visit this walkthrough I did of Verizon Dashboard (Adobe FlashCast client) this device.
