Adobe MAX 2008 – Call for Sessions (Mobile and Devices)
April 30th, 2008 by scottjanousekMark posted about Adobe MAX 2008 and his thoughts on this years planned events. MAX 2008 is taking place this year in San Francisco, Milan, and Tokyo.
My top 10 wish list directed at Mobile (in no particular order):
• Another Mobile and Devices – BootCamp, please.
• Session(s) from the Mobile and Devices Engineering team
• Flash Home – is there a roadmap to get developers on board?
• Bring in more Mobile Partners to showcase on the floor! Not just OEM’s … but also aggregators, content providers and the like (with heavy floor discount for the smaller players)!
• Make Mobile a forethought instead of an afterthought for everything going on at the conference … specially in the keynote … Adobe did not realize how disheartening it was to hear about all the great desktop technologies for a hour; and then throw in 5 minutes of mobile for “good measure”. We matter, specially now that MaD is part of Platform within Adobe.
• More about “something” I can’t say here right now EST … but I will post about very soon (I’ll update then) … OK. More on Mobile AIR, and the Adobe Open Screen Project.
• More public non-session events interspaced during the conference for both for Partners, and for Community (and actually promote these before the conference begins!) … and YES, I would be willing to give up watching a informational session to attend a business related event!
• More feedback type sessions (technologies, products, services, etc). We like roundtable discussions within the mobile community. We are global, and regional … our world is full of fragmented technologies, products, platforms, services, and business models … we need more communication.
• More success stories from “the trenches” (those actually doing Mobile full-time). We like heroes.
• and just for good measure … more SWAG (I kid … but not really. We love that stuff. P.S. The Adobe “Sports Jacket” was way cool and I wear it often cause it’s so comfy and “style’in” )!
Anyways, if you have thoughts … please post them here, or over on Mark’s blog, the MAX site, or just drop the Mobile and Devices team an email.
