Just a reminder, but the 1st Boston Flex User Group Meeting will be held at the Adobe Newton Office (Map) on Tuesday, April 8th. The topic is the open source Flex SDK, which will be discussed by Peter Farland.

Here is the overview of this meeting:

first meeting
The Boston Flex User Group’s first event will be held on the evening of Tues, April 8, 2008 at Adobe Systems’ Newton office (Map) at 7 pm.

Developer Peter Farland of Adobe Systems will be giving us the inside scoop on the new Open Source Flex SDK, which not only includes the Flex 3.0 Framework but also the entire set of SDK tools, exposing a lot of source code and internal tooling that has never been publicly released before.

Did you ever want to change the Flex Framework and rebuild your own distribution? Do you ever wonder what the Flex compiler is up to when it’s chugging away? Are you just plain curious? Please join us!

Pizza will be provided by Universal Mind and beverages by Untravel Media.
free raffle
During our first Boston Flex User Group, Adobe will raffle off One (1) Full License copy of Flex 3 Professional. Only attendees present are qualified to win this drawing.

please RSVP!
Please RSVP at http://bostonfug.eventbrite.com/ if you’re planning to attend. This will help us when ordering pizza, etc.

google group
Please join our mailing list at our BostonFUG Google group We use this mailing list for meeting announcements, general discussion, etc.

If you haven’t checked out the new site (www.bostonfug.org), do so now. Also, be sure to join the usergroup (Goggle Group) if you are local to Boston.

Not to long ago, we started the BFPUG (Boston Flash Platform User Group) and that has taken off quite nicely (I think we had 5-6 people at the 1st one, and now we run about 50-100, monthly).

Hopefully, this group will do just as well (if not better).

Remember to be kind and pre-register.
