Flash Lite … is RIM missing a competitive edge over the Apple?
March 24th, 2008 by Scott JanousekRecent announcements over the past few months with Apple’s iPhone confirmed that it’s Apple’s intent to go after market share in business enterprise.
Given, that RIM (Research In Motion) accounts for a large percentage of mobile devices in the hands of professionals (and also a side note: the recent Microsoft announcement about licensing Flash Lite 3).
My question is:
In terms of mobile user experience … would Flash Lite give RIM an additional competitive edge over Apple iPhone, if they were to license the Flash Lite player?
Just curious, what thoughts are out there, given the facts about what is actually playing out with Flash on the iPhone.
I do not deal specifically in the RIM market (it’ll be hard to believe, but I’ve never actually owned or used one!).
So really this is meant for those of you out there that live in “Berry Land” …
What do you think?
