Engadget posted about modumobile which has created “modular handset” technology.

The idea appears to be that instead of synching/interacting within a proximity range, you modularize this device directly into compatible “modu-mates” and other consumer electronics.

There is not much detail and no specs yet, but seems like it will be possible to personalize your modu device as well (custom shells?).

A teaser video over on youtube and on their corporate site is all they are disclosing thus far.
