Flash Lite Friday – Tip of the Day #7
October 18th, 2007 by Scott JanousekWell, it is Friday overseas for some of you folks! So I thought I’d post this tip on your respective schedule for a change! Flash Lite is a global technology, after all!
Whether you are an individual or company just getting into the Flash Lite ecospace, one of the business challenges you are faced immediately is that you are now on the playing field for not only those utilizing the Flash Lite platform, but also every other mobile platform out there. Nothing here should surprise you!
However, the sheer number of players, platforms, technologies, and devices is something of a challenge to keep up to speed with. That can be an initial shock for some folks.
To combat that, you need information … and as much of it as possible.
That information can come in a variety of forms such as email, mailing lists, blogs, newsgroups, conferences, user group meetings, websites, podcasts, video and eseminars, and so forth … oh yeah I forgot also our old friend … physical print/magazines!
In the area of print … and in terms of mobile, I have been receiving a mobile magazine called: Mobile Entertainment, one particular market segment that is very at home with Flash Lite.
Not only do they have a printed version of their magazine: Mobile Entertainment, but also an digital edition which you can download, as well as email subscription to something referred to as “ME Daily”.
In the spirit of keeping Flash Lite content new, fresh, and innovative … I’d be curious to see what others read on a regular or ocassional basis in the print world. Personally, given our small community and regional dispersion, I think would be in the best interest of everyone.

Hey Scott,
Thanks for mentioning Mobile Ent, I find it a great resource on the industry. They just started a special section on mobile game announcements, so maybe some Flash Lite folks can add them to the list of people to email when they release new FL games!
