Working with Flash Lite 2.x Video

There’s a fairly comprehensive post about working with Flash Lite 2.x device video over at mobilenation.

Right now, if you are deploying a video solution out into the marketplace on Flash Lite enabled handsets, then you’re most likely looking at Flash Lite 2.x … so the post is relevant.

Also, if you haven’t picked it up yet, we also cover Flash Lite 2.0 device video in Foundation Flash Applications for Mobile Devices (among with many other topics).

When we’re able to take advantage of Flash Lite 3 native video on shipped devices, I think it’ll do the same thing for mobile as it did for desktop (quite literally revolutionize the way a lot of mobile professionals work with and think about mobile video)!

    Hi,
This post is very useful. But i have a small query. Pls clear it …
==>Internally how play method is getting RTSP/RTP data from remote server?
As per ur post, decoding and rendering part is handled by the device player.
==>So play method is not using symbian libraries to demultiplex&decode RTP data?
==>Whether Flash lite is striping RTSP/RTP headers and giving only RTSP/RTP data to device player?
==>In remote video streaming, upto what extent play method is using device player.

Pls correct me if my assumption is wrong …
