Nokia N95 + Kite = new meaning to “go fly a kite”
July 5th, 2007 by Scott JanousekI’m not sure if this is considered device “sacrilege” by Nokia, but it does give new meaning to the term “go fly a kite”.
Appears as though they are using heavy industrial tape to hold their $700 investment (Nokia N95) in place …
What’s next? Actually, it wouldn’t surprise me to see someone attempt some sort of an underwater adventure (complete with sealed watertight case)!?
I wonder if iPhone users would attempt to do this (haven’t heard much about drop tests as of late, but N95 is pretty solid from the couple drops I’ve had) …
Also, it’s sad, but the iPhone doesn’t support this quality of video (”5MP”) … come to think of it, I don’t believe iPhone supports video at all, as the camera features are currently very limited out of the box … perhaps an update will fix that, though (well, not the 2MP part).

Speaking of aerial footage with mobile devices, this was also interesting a while back (don’t think I posted about it)… DIY aerial photo system.
I think it’s highly unlikely that you you’ll be doing anything like that, anytime soon with the iPhone … even if the iPhone looks “James Bond” like.
I bet Mike Downey would enjoy this sort of stuff, as from what I can gather, he’s a bit of an aviation enthusiast?

seems there is an optical zoom lens out which you can connect to the camera on the n95 and a case for the n95, i can’t wait for more gadgets..

Yes, just like Apple and iPhone, I expect there will be a small contingent of N95 device accessories … but product cycles at Nokia are faster than Apple, so not too many.
