I will be speaking at Flash Forward 2007 (Boston)

Monday, June 11th, 2007

I just got confirmation the other week that I’ll be speaking at Flash Forward 2007 here in Boston (September 19-21).
I’ll be presenting on Flash Games for Mobile Devices (mostly talking about Flash Lite games, of course).

From the speaker roster, looks like: Keith Peters, Joey Lott, and Chris Georgenes are also fellow Bostonians who are [...]

Upgraded the blog to WordPress 2.2

Sunday, June 10th, 2007

Just a note, but I upgraded to WordPress 2.2 (since the 2.1.x branch is being phased out over time).
Let me know if anyone finds anything broken … that I miss. Hopefully most of the plugins I use are 2.2 “friendly”.
Thanks.

Hands on with the OLPC XO

Saturday, June 9th, 2007

This weekend, Olin College is providing space for a Game Jam, with the target platform: OLPC XO and the objective: create simple educational games for kids (tweens).
Tonight, I had a chance to stop by Olin College and have a peek at the OLPC XO. Cute little device.
The turn out was amazing, and the room was [...]

Saturday, June 9th, 2007

The iRiver B20 Personal Media Player is out in Korea. It was announced a while back at CES.

In additional to other features, iRiver has once again [...]

No Nokia PC Suite for Mac? Try FoneLink for OSX

Monday, June 4th, 2007

Apparently since Nokia is disregarding (or, at least from all outwards appearances) the Mac platform right now for a lot of their mobile endeavors … Novia Media has taken it upon themselves to create a PC Suite clone for OSX called FoneLink.
I’ve used some of their sync tools in the past when Apple was negligent [...]

More than meets the eye! “Speed Dial 800″ transformer

Saturday, June 2nd, 2007

Maybe I’m showing a bit of my age here, but then again transformers are about to regain some of their popularity soon (well, knock on wood!) … in part due to the pending Hollywood Flick.
Anyways here’s something that caught my eye. Transformers that mimic more current devices and gadgets! Check out Speed Dial 800 (pictured [...]

Throwaway game (literally)

Saturday, June 2nd, 2007

Ha. Here’s an LCD based “throwaway game” (literally) someone tossed at the dump. Works fine! Even has cute little sounds. Poor little LCD portable game … you’ve still got some battery life left!
P.S. I originally posted from the dump, via my N95 and shozu (then modified the post later with a better image, text).
