MIT is working on a Mobile version of Scratch. Not many details yet since it’s a project underway.

I just got confirmation the other week that I’ll be speaking at Flash Forward 2007 here in Boston (September 19-21).
I’ll be presenting on Flash Games for Mobile Devices (mostly talking about Flash Lite games, of course).

Just a note, but I upgraded to WordPress 2.2 (since the 2.1.x branch is being phased out over time).
Let me know if anyone finds anything broken … that I miss. Hopefully most of the plugins I use are 2.2 “friendly”.

This weekend, Olin College is providing space for a Game Jam, with the target platform: OLPC XO and the objective: create simple educational games for kids (tweens).

The iRiver B20 Personal Media Player is out in Korea. It was announced a while back at CES.

This device is essentially a Clix 2 with more functionality and sleeker design (than the u10, that is). The specs are laid out here. Lots of device photos here.

Apparently since Nokia is disregarding (or, at least from all outwards appearances) the Mac platform right now for a lot of their mobile endeavors … Novia Media has taken it upon themselves to create a PC Suite clone for OSX called FoneLink.

Maybe I’m showing a bit of my age here, but then again transformers are about to regain some of their popularity soon (well, knock on wood!) … in part due to the pending Hollywood Flick.

Ha. Here’s an LCD based “throwaway game” (literally) someone tossed at the dump. Works fine! Even has cute little sounds. Poor little LCD portable game … you’ve still got some battery life left!
