No Nokia PC Suite for Mac? Try FoneLink for OSX
June 4th, 2007 by Scott JanousekApparently since Nokia is disregarding (or, at least from all outwards appearances) the Mac platform right now for a lot of their mobile endeavors … Novia Media has taken it upon themselves to create a PC Suite clone for OSX called FoneLink.
I’ve used some of their sync tools in the past when Apple was negligent about getting device sync profiles out in a timely fashion (although it is not rocket science to create your own) …
Anyways, I’ve only recently begun using FoneLink, but it seems like a great start.
You can get a list of devices currently supported.
They have a demo version you can give a try before you buy.

I am happy that you use a mac.

I am an “equal opportunity employer” of both platforms. However, lately, Windows tends to be less productive at work, while Mac seems well on a way to a hefty raise.

Yes, I saw.
I have ESP, which is why I said “from all outward appearances”.

I tried to use Fone link with a 6230i but its not supported. So I use PhoneDirector instead!

Hi,
the 6230i has an operating system which will not support any sync standard like SyncML. So we can not support it. But PhoneDirector is a good replacement for older phones. Please feel free to check out FoneLink when you switch to a new phone!
Thanks

Hi,
we took some time to completely rewrite FoneLink - the new version 2.0 awaits you at http://www.novamedia.de/fonelink
It is much faster, supports many more phones and has hundreds of small improvements.
Kind regards

Thanks. Just got a new MBP, so I’ve added it to the install list … hopefully I can use it in my workflow.
