FoneLink

Apparently since Nokia is disregarding (or, at least from all outwards appearances) the Mac platform right now for a lot of their mobile endeavors … Novia Media has taken it upon themselves to create a PC Suite clone for OSX called FoneLink.

I’ve used some of their sync tools in the past when Apple was negligent about getting device sync profiles out in a timely fashion (although it is not rocket science to create your own) …

Anyways, I’ve only recently begun using FoneLink, but it seems like a great start.

You can get a list of devices currently supported.

They have a demo version you can give a try before you buy.

I am happy that you use a mac. :)

I am an “equal opportunity employer” of both platforms. However, lately, Windows tends to be less productive at work, while Mac seems well on a way to a hefty raise.

    Ciao Scott,

Nokia just released tools for the MAC!

    Yes, I saw.

I have ESP, which is why I said “from all outward appearances”. :)

I tried to use Fone link with a 6230i but its not supported. So I use PhoneDirector instead!

    Hi,

the 6230i has an operating system which will not support any sync standard like SyncML. So we can not support it. But PhoneDirector is a good replacement for older phones. Please feel free to check out FoneLink when you switch to a new phone!

    Thanks

    Hi,

we took some time to completely rewrite FoneLink - the new version 2.0 awaits you at http://www.novamedia.de/fonelink

It is much faster, supports many more phones and has hundreds of small improvements.

    Kind regards

Thanks. Just got a new MBP, so I’ve added it to the install list … hopefully I can use it in my workflow.
