Vivek was asking about recent device popularity stats in Japan recently and John Koch (Adobe) pointed him to this page (English).

Always good to see some of the newest and most popular devices over there despite the never ending device envy … but our own “keitai” is evolving here in the US … particularly with the existing carriers, as well as some of the newer MVNO’s (Helio and Amp’d come to mind).

… the upcoming iPhone will further help define how the run-of-the-mill consumer here in US views the mobile space … either for good or worse. Let’s hope for the former, rather than the later!
