John, actually, yes, you can specify if a presentation can be downloaded off the site or not. Basically it just adds a text link to the preso … this optional feature is completely up to the user who uploaded.

Thanks Scott! Would there be a way for community members to download the presentations and use them offline? I’m thinking that some people will want to use the presentations offline to promote their professional services to customers. Also, it would be helpful if someone could download a presentation and translate the text into their own language. I dont see a way to download presentations this via slideshare.net though.
