Greetings fellow (Flash) Mobi-Lites.

Just wanted to remind everyone that I will be giving a 3 day course on Flash Lite 2 from June 5-8, 2007 at the Adobe Boston office (well, it’s really Newton, but close enough!).

What about the 4th day? The fourth day (the 8th) is reserved for standup certifications. This is only required for those attendees who wish to become Flash Lite training instructors (it is one of the requirements). Please let me know if you are interested in doing a stand-up cert, and we’ll schedule you in for this.

I think we currently have about a dozen or so attendees for the 3 day training, but we’re glad to have a few more. If you’re interested, be sure to drop an email to mobiledeveloper AT adobe DOT com.

Another thing, this is free training to all attendees (thanks to Adobe). The only caveat is that you’ll just need to provide your own lodging, travel, and other necessities.

In terms of the course itself … those that wish to attend should have at least some mobile (programming) experience … also, please bare in mind that although Flash experience is not a specific requirement, this course is ActionScript heavy, and therefore programming intensive. This is the Adobe authorized training material so it is developer focused.

Designers (those who don’t deal with ActionScript) and other “non-programmer” types wishing to attend should expect to hear a lot about OOP, data structures, etc (particularly the 2nd and 3rd day).

Finally, be aware, we’ll cover mainly 2.0 and 2.1 material in this course. We won’t really talk too much about 1.1 related topics (I know many of you already savvy with Flash are just dying to hear about tellTargets and the like, right?) …

We will, however, cover Device Central. Also, there is a very good chance we will use CS3 for this specific course. If you haven’t already upgraded, now’s the time to do so (or just download the 30 day trial if you don’t want to shell out the dough just yet).
