Sorry, this is not a mobile, nor a Flash post … but it’s a Boston post, so it’s relevant to my blog.

See if you can figure out the association on this one:

Spawn + Drizzt Do’Urden + Red Sox = ?

Give up yet? Check out Green Monster Games, which apparently is a new game company in Maynard, MA. Curt Shilling (Red Sox Pitcher) is a pretty avid gamer, and is starting something interesting, with the help of RA Salavtore and Todd McFarlane, among many other gaming veterans.

What? Massachusetts is part of the video gaming industry? Sure. Plenty of game companies here. Now there’s one more. :)

Anyways, I think it’s safe to safe, whatever comes out of this venture will be “unique”, to say the very least.

Again, sorry if this is off topic, but it’s just too cool not to post, especially since I love RA’s writing. :)

Anyways, you heard it here first.

The Red Sox spawn Drizzt to be a pinch runner because of his magically enhanced movement rate (via his enchanted arm bracelets used on his ankles instead).

The Red Sox have a demon problem. They call up Spawn & Drizzt, who have previous demon fighting experience, to help out.

Drizzt is new in town, and Spawn decides to show Drizzt around. He takes him to a Red Sox game.

    …ok, I give up.

JW, if it was pre-2004, I’d say #2 was spot on! LOL. :)

When are they going to make a Dark Elf movie “triology”. Jeez, someone is sitting on a potential goldmine (if they do it right).

    * drools * I love Salvatore!

I thought about that as I was reading the different collections. The trouble is where do you start? I loved Homeland but thought the rest of the Dark Elf Trilogy was a little flat. Icewind Dale Trilogy would probably be the best place to start with some flashbacks to the Dark Elf Trilogy.

The hardest part would be making the Underdark scenes. How do you put that in a visual format? Nothing but darkness except for shadows of heat that some of the characters can see. It would end up being dark scenes with “mystery lighting” instead of pitchblack.

Well, it’s probably better that it stays in book format.

Although, I would love to see a well done version of Drizzt and Entreri in action.

Glad to see you’re excited. :)

The drawback of a movie (as is evidenced by LotR), is that many don’t realize what the word “adaptation” means. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Salvatore fan, and extremely excited about GMG, but a movie? I’m just not sure the world is ready to see a movie where “all black people are evil”.

On the other hand, I heard a few years ago that Streams of Silver had already received the script treatment, but that was a few years ago. Memory isn’t so

    What was I saying?

    Cheers,

    Lae
