Loading ...Just an FYI, but TieBoston is sponsoring a panel discussing WiMAX. It is scheduled for Monday, January 8, 007 6:30-9:30 PM. This is not a free event, so check out the registration fees (ranges from $10-$25).

Topic: WiMax: Is it finally here?
It’s been years since WiMax was originally proposed and hyped by high profile backers. Finally, there is real evidence that the technology is nearing mass deployment. For example, Sprint and Clearwire are spending $100M’s on WiMax rollouts today.
Will it really take on cellular? Who will drive the rollouts? And what will be the major uses? An expert panel will debate these and other issues relating to the technology and business outlook.
