PSP firmware 3.00 - no updated Flash Player
November 25th, 2006 by Scott JanousekIf you haven’t heard Sony pushed out a new firmware network update (version 3.0) to coincide with the PS3 launch. It comes with a few new features and mods for the PSP (Portable Sony Playstation).
However, I just checked and the PSP Flash Player is still stuck at 6,0,72,27, so no change there (Flash Player originally was orginally first bundled with update 2.71). Apparently, updating the FP was on the back burner for this specific update.
Here are some of the core additions and features:
* Revisions to strengthen security have been added.
* PLAYSTATION(R)Network titles are now supported under [Games].
* [Remote Play] has been added as a feature under [Network].
* [Online Instruction Manuals] has been added as a feature under [Network].
* Timed recording has been added as a feature under [RSS Channel].
* A visual player has been added as a feature under [Music].
* 3-speed fast forward and fast reverse has been added as a feature under [Music].
* [Camera] has been added as a feature under [Photo].
* [UMD(TM) Auto-Start] has been added as a feature in [System Settings] under [Settings].
Still waiting on posts from the community on the PS3 … which player does it have? Bueller, Bueller?
Note: Just a reminder, but if you’re doing any homebrew on your PSP, it’s best *not* to install v3..
