They were at MAX. They had a limited # to distribute to Flash Lite folks.

Hey Scott,
Have you gotten wireless to work on yours yet - just got home late yesterday - but no mater what type of permutations on my router I tried i cannot get it to connect…..I played with it for hours in my hotel room at the venetian with no luck trying to share my powerbooks connection - and now at home - with my linksys, tried all the suggested workarounds - even put a usb extension cable and the dongle outside the chumby - no go - drop me a note if you have time. Thanks! Rob

I’m not sure if this is related, but I thought I’d post for everyone that got one, just in case. Inside the chumby bag, there is a readme doc that says:
“If your access point is broadcasting in 802.11g mode or 802.11b/802.11g mixed mode and you’re having problems connecting, set it to operate in 802.11b mode (We’re working on this issue).

The wireless issue is a problem with the zd1211 driver - if it detects that it’s on anything besides a USB 2.0 “high-speed” connection, then it drops into 802.11b mode. Our USB ports are “full-speed”, mainly becauase that’s what the USB interface in the MX21 chipset supports, but also because a small processor like this one can’t handle the 54Mbps bandwidth of 802.11g anyway. We’re trying to change the driver to operate in 802.11g mode but with a slower bitrate, however in the meantime, the workaround is to operate your access point in a mode that will allow 802.11b connections. Some models of access points that advertise 802.11b/g “mixed-mode” also have issues we’re looking into.

Hi,
I dont have aflash lite 2 based fone and it seems its yet not so common. I want to build a video streaming app which is based on flashlite 1.1. Is It possible? kindly let me know

Sorry, I don’t think the chumby supports either native or device video at this time.

Hey Scott,
I don’t have one yet but really want one. I was at MAX last week but didn’t make the Birds of a feather session. I have been playing around with my LG Chocolate and Iriver U10. Do you have any idea when the Chumby will hit streets?
