For those of you reading this blog, it’s not much of a surprise, but read the article on CNN: Cell phones taking over as timepieces.

    Until Rolex makes a cellphone, cellphones won’t replace as time pieces IMHO.

    Have you seen the D&G diamond encrusted phones? Bling bling.

    While I find it useful to be able to check my phone if I forget my watch, but it’s a lot easier to check my wrist than to pull my phone out of my pocket. I’m sure some people don’t mind the effort, but I know that sometimes, if I’m sitting for example, I might not be able to get at my phone very easily.

    Josh, that’s true.

    Personally, I haven’t quite given up my wrist watch yet … but handsets have certainly has replaced my alarm clock. A handset is just much more configurable.

    I haven’t used my portable alarm clock in at least 2 years, I’m always using a phone or other device.
