Mike Downey interviewed by CNET
August 3rd, 2006 by Scott JanousekI caught this off cnet. Mike Downey gives CNET an interview about Flash (and even a bit of mobile).
I thought it was cool to hear about the Flash UI in the Jaguar, as I had seen prototypes for customizable dashboard display “skins” a while back for another car manufacturer (allowing you to change the look and feel to fit your needs including fuel gauge, speedometer, tachometer, etc ) … that was electronic ink based though (and not driven by Flash).
Probably too soon for all that jazz though. There might be a whole slew of liability issues attached! “But, I thought it said 35 MPH, officer” …
The Jaguar Flash UI undoubtly provides a fluid user experience for less liable things like car controls (climate, seats, etc).
In any event, here’s a photo of the Jaguar Flash UI:
Perhaps that’s one case study Adobe should post on the devices site?
I don’t believe I’ve seen anything besides perhaps a press release or two a while back.
