One of my newest FL 1.1 handsets: The Nokia 6233
August 1st, 2006 by Scott JanousekDo I really need to write a review? Nah. Not surprisingly, Nokia has once again made a top shelf device: the 6233!
Let me tell you, it’s quite a pleasant experience outside of my Windows XP machine having a hissy fit yesterday (corrupted drive and chkdsk, how I love thee so much). PC manufacturers and OS vendors could learn a thing or two from Nokia and their practices on (mobile) devices!
This S40 phone is pretty sweet if you’re not into the fold phones like the 6131 (my favorite thus far in the S40 series).
Yes, it has has Flash Lite 1.1 preinstalled. The preinstalled content is pretty much the same as the 6131, except for a couple extra Flash Lite screensavers (yes, it supports wallpaper, screensavers, and sub-LCD modes).
What was surprising was I found that Nokia catalogs is actually preinstalled. I wasn’t aware they had an S40 version! But, apparently they do. It’s just not available from the website (yet) …
Yet another bonus is that the “Flash Content” category with catalogs shows up first by default (’F-lash’)! I have to setup my access point and then we’ll see what content they are offering.
The Nokia 6125 is also an interesting device (caters to a different mobile crowd). I may post about that one soon.

Just got this in the post yesterday…. It’s a fantastic phone… I’m already dreaming up flash stuff I can build for it. Can’t wait!
