Nokia N93 available for preorder
July 24th, 2006 by Scott JanousekBoth Mobilebee and Expansys are starting to take online preorders for the beast that is the Nokia N93. Expansys also has an aluminum grey model, for those who are picky and choosy.
Mobilebee is saying the expected shipping date is T-minus 39 days (bringing the ship date to around September 2006).
At around a $900 street price, this is definately not a device you want to sling around! With a price tag like that … I would say, more than likely, you’re going to carry it around more like a faberge egg! … unless you’re related to Donald Trump that is.
I don’t know for 100% certainty (I put a stop to trying to predict these things) if it has been confirmed to have Flash Lite on it, but if it does, it’s probably the 1.1 implementation.
However, it does seem to have a secondary mini display, so I wonder if additional Flash Lite content types are supported (sub-LCD, wallpaper, screensaver modes), if it is indeed Flash Lite enabled.
I’d rant and rave about how good the device is, but really you ought to check it out for yourself. This one is particularly well suited for the mobile video ethuasists.
It comes with a spiffy 3.2 camera with 3x zoom, prebundled with Adobe Premiere Elements. It also has 50 MB of internal memory. And yes, it’s a S60 3rd Edition 3G phone, with WiFi and even TV out capabilities. Check out more specs here.

Ciao Scott,
yes the N93 has Flash Lite 1.1
http://forum.nokia.com/devices/N93
but as usual there are no infos on Nokia sites regarding the implementations !
I think they need to be more detailed about it since Nokia has implemented and purchased the Flash Lite SDK!
