Ok. Don’t kill me, but here’s a follow up to the FLUI (Flash Lite User Interface). FLED. FLED = Flash Lite Enabled Device

Examples: “The Nokia 3250 is a FLED.”. Nope, the Sony PSP is not a FLED, it’s a custom Flash 6 port.

FLED. This can be any device that runs an implementation of Flash Lite (1.1, 2.x, BREW, etc).

You might use it like this, “The Nokia 6131 is a 1.1 FLED”. “The iriver clix is a 2.x FLED”.

Of course, when making a posting, it’s always a good rule of thumb to include “Flash Lite” somewhere in your text. Otherwise all those lovely search engines and bots won’t pick up on the relevance of your post.

Using FLED could be an easy shorthand when writing something quick or where repetition occurs.

Do I hear more boo’s? or cheers? (Probably boo’s and hisses)

please, please, please don’t tell me you stayed up too late thinking of that one

No. These usually come either at a whim, or after writing words such as “Flash Lite Enabled Device” 50 times (say in an article or other published work). Interestingly enough, however, FLUI did catch on in the FL community, perhaps FLED will as well?

I take your vote as thumbs down Mark. Thanks for the feedback.
