Verizon Deal with Adobe

Verizon, I think I love you.

From the last LG announcement, you might have guessed this was coming, but this release solidifies the relationship between Adobe and Verizon.

Verizon Wireless to Develop Flash Mobile Ecosystem in North America. Also check out the FAQ and also visit the Developer Center for Verizon Wireless.

There is a lot to glean from the FAQ.

From the FAQ this to happen sometime within this year. I’d imagine it will be a 1.1 rollout, but it is not explicitly mentioned.

Anyways, great news (if you live in the US).

Great news indeed. Hopefully this will catch on in Canada too.

  3. Mobile Flash Developer Says:

Verizon handsets use the BREW® Applications Platform and BREW Delivery System from Qualcomm® to deliver and update software on the mobile phone. The Flash Lite Extension for BREW will leverage the BREW solutions to deliver Flash-based applications and content on the BREW platform, available in the summer of 2006. This will enable the delivery of Flash based content to Verizon supported devices.
