Episodic Media just put up the viliv p1 store, so you can go and put your order in. Price is $499.

Update: 03/16/2006 1:39 am - seems like they might be making last minute tweaks to the site, so it might not be a bad idea to wait a day to put in your final order (they probably won’t even ship orders till end of the week anyways).

  1. Viliv Store Question Says:

I checked the store…they only have it in red with no wired remote….. ?? They have the option to send to Canada…but they don’t provide the Provinces…is this all true or is it just me??

  2. Scott Janousek Says:

Hmmm. I sent that to the email address I received after my order, so they will most likely fix it. Not sure on the remote.

They might be making last minute site changes, so might be a good idea to wait until tomorrow to order from Canada.

  3. Viliv Store Question Says:

Do you know anything about the Only Red Viliv and no Silver?

  4. Keith Peters Says:

Scott, if you get that before next wednesday, you BETTER bring it!!! :)

  5. Scott Janousek Says:

    Viliv Store Question: No
    Keith: Yes

  6. TechLifter Says:

I’ve heard conflicting reports that the Viliv had a radio transmitter as well as a reciever. i.e. One can have the player in the car and use the car stereo tuner to listen to the Viliv; Like a built-in iTrip for the iPod. Have I been misinformed? Better yet, will we get a Janousek-style hands-on review when yours arrives and you’ve had a few days to play with it?

  7. Scott Janousek Says:

    User manual is available here:

  8. TechLifter Says:

Looks like it does! On page Sweet 34 of the PDF (64 of the manual) link you listed, the “Additional Function” heading lists FM transmitter: wireless FM transmission for car audio. SWEET! I’d really like to see what you think when the device arrives. I’m hesitant to drop $500 for a PMP, but I’ve been very impressed by what it can do.

  9. Scott Janousek Says:

Page 27 (51) also has some of the UI!

  10. Hayden Porter Says:

    Scott,

would you consider posting a side by side photo comparison of U10 and viliv P1, so others can get an appreciation for screen size and device size differences?
