h-lounge and hyperscore add personalization to ringtone market
January 25th, 2006 by Scott JanousekHarmony Line is a MIT Media Lab spin off from the hyperscore/Toy Symphony project.
Essentially, they have setup a service, H-lounge, and retooled the software, hyperscore (think simplified “garage band”), to help users create and distribute their own custom personalized ringtones.
The idea is to make money off personalized ringtones … which amounts to a small percentage of overall ringtone sales in mobile.
