FITC 2006 Toronto details are up!
December 14th, 2005 by Scott JanousekI just noticed that some preliminary details about the FITC 2006 conference are up.
FITC 2006
The Design & Technology Festival
Toronto Canada
April 21-23, 2006
Last year was a blast. It really catered to all interactives out there, and not just the flash folks. I could name some of my “favorite” speakers from last year … but really all my sessions were great, so it wouldn’t be fair.
A lot of attendees are interactive students from local institutes (RTI, etc). This usually turns out great for the fun aspect of it, but not neccessarily the business aspect of it (like MAX). … but there are usually a good influx of flash professionals there, so networking and meeting up is usually useful.
The conference is not until April … FF 2006 is in Feb or March, so no overlap like last year (other conferences?).
Not sure if I can justify it yet, but it looks like a good line up this year as well.
P.S. Don’t ask me what FITC stands for now. I just call it “FIT-CAH” or “FIT-SEE”.

No, no … it’s a bit more than Flash now, so last I heard they were coming up with a new play on the acronymn.
Fully Interactive Toronto Conference??

it use to stand for Flash In The Can, that is correct. but as we expand from solely a flash festival, yes it does mean something else.
but we’re still working on what that something else is
but scott, nice guess
closest right now is “Festival of Interactive Technology and Creativity”
lol
