QR Codes
November 18th, 2005 by Scott JanousekFor those who haven’t heard of QR codes, they’re a form of barcode that encode various kinds of text information, such as URLs, in a form that can be read by many cameraphone handsets overseas. The most common usage is that you’d snap the code printed on a poster or in a magazine to jump to an advertiser’s website.
We use a variation on shipped packages … it enables packages to be scanned no matter what direction the label is facing.
Mobot is actually trying to do this with (generic) images & pattern recognition (instead of codes). They did a presentation a while back for the Flash Mobile Group.
