MXNA feature request? “Bookmarking”/Last Viewed entry …
July 1st, 2005 by Scott JanousekI was wondering how many other people would find a “bookmarking feature” on MXNA useful?
Basically, just set a shared object/cookie to keep track of your last read post … after being busy, I often find myself traversing back to find the last entry I have read …
I’d bookmark, but it’s not as efficient as having a feature in MXNA … should be pretty easy to implement.
What say the community?

Good suggestion. We do set cookies to see which posts you have read. You should be able to tell because new posts will have:
(new)
next to their title.

I guess I missed the “new” text. Might make sense to have a graphic for the new daily posts? … anyways having a last viewed button to jump to last post read might be nice.

Hi, Scott. MXNA is supposed to have this feature, but it appears to be broken. For some reason, all posts appear to be new. I’m going out of town this week for Flashforward, but I’ll try to get it fixed as soon as possible.
Thanks for the heads-up.

Christian,
Yeah, I noticed that after mike’s post about the new text … I guess I unearthed a minor bug. No biggie.
It’d be cool to have the new text be a graphic as well, to let it stand out a bit more. Maybe JD (I think he did the redesign) could whip something up for the current look and feel.
Anyways, have fun at FF.

Just to clarify, the JD who helped with the design was Josh Dura.
