I just read Darron’s post … more evidence for the non-believers and nay-sayers. ;)
O’reilly recognizes it officially in their history poster! Ha! :)

2.) Also, recently, I found out my Alma Mater, Umass at Amherst has jumped on the wagon with a few courses in Flash & AS (and Director too) … ah, times have changed from my Pascal and C days. :)

My point is when you have nationally ranked CmpSci departments in Colleges and Universities like Umass and MIT utilizing it in graduate level classes … you know the language has made it: end of story.

So is AS 2.0 a “real” programming language? Of course. Will AS 3.0 be better? No doubt. Will something better come along? Yes, evitably.

I especially like that the ActionScript arrow sticks out the farthest to the right. Leavin’ other languages in the dust (smile)?
